Does anyone else miss reading for fun? I know I do.
Remember the days of elementary school or middle school (or before having kids) when we had time to just read and we wanted to. I miss it. I miss adventures back in time and in the future. I miss becoming a knight, falling in love with a vampire or running from one, magical spells, and even Junie B. and her shenanigans. I know like most of you I have become so busy that I forgot my favorite hobby of old-- reading.
I have too many places to be, too many assignments due (I'm still in school too), and too many responsibilities that I can't put off (my kids would starve). I really miss it. I even forced myself to join a book club in the hopes I will READ FOR FUN. I haven't started the book yet, but I need to make it a goal this weekend. I will read and like it - not the novels I'm teaching or kids' papers or even the book someone else picked for the book club. I am reading for fun. It's on.
Mr. Conaway recommended a really interesting read just last week. This weekend I am putting everything else aside and heading to Italy in the 13th century.
